Another quick thing

...Justin is up to something... and I think Kate is in on it, too.

So, Justin forgets most everything I tell him. We can have a conversation daily for a week, and he'll still forget that I have plans with the girls when it comes to that day. So, maybe he completely forgot that Kate has declared that we're adopting her for the weekend, according to her. She's mentioned this several times over the course of this past Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday... all of the days in which Justin and I both saw her... I've also mentioned it a number of times while Kate wasn't here.

Yesterday, when Justin got home from work, I said to him "I told Kate that we needed one night this coming weekend for a date night-- just me and you." (He only gets every other weekend off, and generally if I try to fill up his calendar with plans, or book my schedule without making plans for him, he gets pissy.) His response to this?!?! "Do you want to go away for the weekend? Like, I dunno, go camping or something?"

WHAT? Camping? WTF, J Dubs. Don't get me wrong, I like camping, and would love to go camping. But we're currently poor, Justin doesn't like all-weekend long plans, and it's pretty spur of the moment, especially since Kate mentioned us adopting her for the weekend (Fred is out of town on business "supposedly starting Friday").

After some prying (or making things up in my head), I've pulled the following conspiracy theory together:
* Kate and Justin are up to something
* I think Fred lied to me yesterday about when he was planning to be out of town, if this is, in deed, the case. (Therefore, he is in on the lie)
* Said lies/secrets involve the entire weekend, and camping, or something up in the Cooks Forest area.
* When Justin lies (like when telling stories about his pet monkey and dragon, or when he is placing blame on Dori for eating an entire pan of brownies in one days time) he makes this 1/2 confused 1/2 smirkish face... he was making it last night, and I called him out on it.

I've dropped it, for now, but don't like not being "in the know". I'm impatient, and a planner. I think I'm going to suggest to Kate all of these plans for the weekend and see how she reacts. Mwah ha ha.

Okay, really, I need to get some work done. Ugh. :(
