So... I don't really have much to update everyone on-- it's been a pretty uneventful last week or so. Dori just jumped at LEAST a foot and a half in the air at my hand. She has a breast cancer awareness wristband that she is OBSESSED with currently, and would love nothing more than for me to throw it ALL DAY LONG for her. She also thinks its great fun to lunge at it when I go to reach for it, sort of like a cat & mouse style game.

Anyways... I head to San Diego on Thursday. My flight leaves Thursday morning at 7:30am with a connecting flight in Phoenix. I'll get into San Diego 11:30am on Thursday, and will be there until I take the red-eye home on Saturday night (getting me in Sunday a.m. around 9:30-- red eyes from Cali SUCK!). I still haven't quite figured out what my purpose for being at the AGS (American Glaucoma Society?!?!) meeting is, other than to schmooze docs. Seriously. The clients I'm going for (Heidelberg Engineering, a company who manufactures high-quality imaging devices for the management of glaucoma and retinal disease) haven't mentioned anything that they WANT me to do there, besides "be there for the zoo and the gala". They also want me there to meet with doctors BEFORE an advisory board meeting... but they don't want me to be at the advisory board meeting. Whatever. I've filled my calendar with boring symposium to attend, and am going to browse the exhibit hall floor to see what sort of companies are attending. Maybe we can get some new biz opportunities (despite the fact that NO ONE has any moola).

In other news, I'm pretty sure my stomach is rebelling against the massive amounts of random food I mindlessly munched on all day long yesterday. I feel like my cheeks have puffed up like a chipmunk from all of the crap I ate. Today is a detox day for sure. Ugggg, my belly.

That's really all I've got for now. I went to Kate's on Saturday for a 'girls night in'. That was fun. I've met all of her friends before, but don't really KNOW a lot of her closer friends. Since a few of them will be in the wedding with me when Kate finally decides to start planning, it's probably important that I get to know these girls. We had a fun night, and I think it was good for Kate. In the event that I haven't told y'all, Kate (my very best friend, who I'm going to be the Maid of Honor in her wedding) had a pretty rough February. She was laid off from her job (which she hated, at least), her pappap (who she was very close with) passed away, she had a bit of an incident with a bonfire and her eyelashes/eyebrow/hair, and now her grandma is in the hospital having tests done for an abnormally low heart rate. Needless to say, she probably needed a night to get her mind off things with her friends, and is VERY glad that February is over.

Hope all is well on your end(s). Love!
