Howdy, y'all. I'm such an ophthalmic geek. So, for those of you who don't know, I'm in San Diego right now on behalf of one of my clients for the "American Glaucoma Society" meeting. It's a pretty small meeting, but holy crap-- I never realized how many people I knew! First off, clients of ours who are attending are Optonol (my client), Heidelberg Engineering (my client who I'm here for), iScience, EndoOptiks, and AMO. There are also some past or "project" clients here, too. Wowza. But, just in general. All of these docs and corporate big wigs recognize me, and it's hilarious. I had no idea I was so important :)...
I'm fairly convinced my reason for being here is to schmooze doctors for HEI, and schmooze clients for PC. So schmoozing I will do. I will also eat the free food and attend the free trip to the zoo and the $100 gala tomorrow night (for free). Maybe I work in a field that SOUNDS boring (glaucoma, ophthalmology, retina, yada yada yawwwwwn) but it's fun and fab to meet with these peeps.
Shhh... don't tell my boyfriend, but I'm even recognizing some cute familiar faces. Bonus!!! :)
