Add it to my resume-- Wedding Planner/MOH extraordinaire

Well, another friend of mine got engaged this past weekend. Meghann, my old roommate, got engaged to her longtime friend, Curtis, this past weekend. They got engaged up in Cook Forest at Seneca Point, and he planted the biggest. rock. EVER! on her left hand.

I, of course, have been dubbed "Secret Agent Potter" by Curtis, and knew about the impending engagement for the past two weeks, but had to help throw a suspicious Meghann off-track, which I successfully did.

Last night, she asked me to be her Maid of Honor in her wedding-- not something that I was expecting, but I'm flattered to do, nonetheless.

This makes two weddings that I'm in, and two that I've been asked to be their Maid of Honor. Pretty cool. I also have two other friends who are getting married in May and July of next year, who I'm not in their weddings, but its bound to be a summer full of wedding attendance.

However, all of this got me thinking... I've been a bit down on myself lately for having lost touch with a number of friends from highschool and/or college. There are few friends I keep in touch with from highschool, and I've already started to lose touch with a couple from college. With that said, Meghann asking me to be her MOH made me smile, because I'd much rather have a couple CLOSE friends, than a dozen acquaintances, and that appears to be what I have. I still have other friends, but it's really honoring to know that those I keep in close contact with cherish my friendship that much.

I am humbled :)
